Dear Annie & Birdie
Your letter of 15 received and will give you a newsy answer =
We have lots of snow perhaps 18 inches  good sleighing = and a very cold spell  30 to 40 below Zero = very cold =
Alice Jacobsons Boy baby has so far made out to live and grow = from 2 1/2 lbs to be a little dot = but she has not yet taken it out=
Our Will has connected his Summer kitchen to your back door, and lined it with chaff so he has 2 warm rooms
Sam Clarke now lives in his Fathers house
Hyrum Curtis has been very sick but Leander told me on Sunday that he was better
Aunt Jennie = for Christmas sent me a pair of gloves = Naomi a coat = mits for Jennie & Myrinda  Books for the Boys and 25cs for Henry & Irvin

Santa Claus brought. skates to George  Hymn Book to Myrinda a 100 watch to Irvin - which keeps goot time and goes when it is not carried =
Henry was here with us and did not want to go home
Myrinda has been to Ogden for a weeks visit since Christmas
We had by Fred a Bottle of Brandy from Stephen for New Years =
Fred is well=fat=wears a 25
00 suit of made to order clothes=wears a gold badge of the Firemans order and is quite a ?ony man when off duty= but on duty he is a dirty coal dust corn cob pipe smoking freight train fireman = with steady work from Salt Lake to Pocatello
Christene dreampt that Birdie had a breaking out on her= but I hope it is only here bad blood coming out for Spring time and she will soon be better =  I would like to see you all for a few days
